As a foundational course on veneering, we will begin by explaining the fundamentals of veneer as a material, the basic tools needed, substrate options, adhesives and pressing systems.
These materials and tools will be presented in a sequence appropriate to a beginner by demonstrating veneering techniques and methods while making several sample projects including a wall clock, chessboard, and round sunburst top.
The goal being that each student, by the end of the course, will have a solid grasp on the fundamentals of veneering and the confidence to dive in.
